Putting our worries, opinions and judgements to one side to have a belly laugh can sometimes feel impossible yet laughter is common in the face of adversity.
Deploying our senses to spot subtle changes in a face or body posture, or to notice the minor nuances of tone, emphasis, language and sentence construction requires us to be present in the moment and not off somewhere else in our heads worrying or dreaming about something else.
