Let there be Light 2017: No 15

J.K Rowling wrote “It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends.”

We have seen some incredibly brave people just take on terrorists. Every day in smaller ways the extent of our own bravery is being constantly challenged.

We never quite understand how brave we each are until the moment comes. Will you be the one who runs towards danger while others flee for their own protection? Are you the one who speaks up to a strong bully threatening the weak? Will you be the one who understands just how scared to death you are but pushes ahead anyway? Are you the one who disagrees with Brexit and is prepared to still say so or are you being cowed by the ‘Bremoaner’ tag?

The opposite of bravery is not cowardice, it is conformity.
